Shanghai Magnolia Plaza, located in the coastal area of the Huangpu River on the North Bund of Shanghai, has a total construction area of 420000 square meters, including a 320 meter high office tower and a 172 meter high hotel tower. It is a diversified urban complex integrating commercial, office, hotel, and other functions. The main tower, with a height of 320 meters, reshapes the city skyline and becomes the “tallest building in Shanghai Puxi” in Shanghai, quickly becoming a new landmark on the North Bund.
该项目的设计灵感源自上海市花白玉兰，为了体现白玉兰的形象，办公楼的底层设计为较小楼板，随着大厦高度的攀升楼板逐渐扩大，在高度不断升至大厦发光冠顶的过程中，楼板面积又再次收缩。在视觉上，主塔楼犹如玉兰花绽放，表达了对城市精神的尊重和对本土文化的传承。
The design inspiration for this project is derived from the Shanghai city flower Magnolia. To reflect the image of Magnolia, the bottom floor of the office building is designed as a smaller floor slab. As the building rises in height, the floor gradually expands. As the height continues to rise to the luminous crown of the building, the floor area shrinks again. Visually, the main tower is like a blooming magnolia, expressing respect for the urban spirit and inheritance of local culture.
该项目高度融合了可持续理念，塔楼以曲面幕墙为特色，采用穿孔金属遮阳板提高了建筑的环保性能。ALTOP为其定制的铝板遮阳系统，在白天可以降低所吸收的太阳热能，夜晚能够减少光污染。
The project highly integrates the concept of sustainability, with the tower featuring curved curtain walls and perforated metal sunshades to improve the environmental performance of the building. ALTOP’s customized aluminum sunshade system can reduce the amount of solar heat absorbed during the day and reduce light pollution at night.
该项目塔楼单元体幕墙均为异形板块，角度及尺寸误差范围均需要严格控制。每一层都有几何变化，通过冷弯技术实现铝板曲线造型，塔冠的花瓣造型是重难点，造型需要多层不同角度的弧度铝板拼接而成，ALTOP凭借对复杂造型的丰富经验及硬实力，最终将设计理念完美呈现。
The tower unit curtain walls of the project are all shaped plates, and the angle and size error range need to be strictly controlled. Each layer has geometric changes, and the curved shape of aluminum plates is achieved through cold bending technology. The petal shape of the tower crown is a key and difficult point. The shape requires multiple layers of curved aluminum plates with different angles to be spliced. With rich experience and hard strength in complex shapes, ALTOP ultimately presents the design concept perfectly.
